Assam Direct Recruitment 2022

The Government of Assam has constituted a commission called Assam Direct Recruitment Commission to carry out the recruitment process of Group C and Group D posts of various departments. This commission has been formed to fulfil the guarantee of 1 lakh jobs provided by the current Chief Minister of Assam. The commission will accept common applications for similar types of posts in different departments.

Also, the selection process will be same and candidates will have to appear for only one exam for all the departments and merit list will be prepared on the basis of their performance in that exam.

Pay Scale: The pay band and grade pay of the post as per Assam Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017 and as amended.

Educational Qualifications

Maximum Qualification: The maximum allowed educational qualification for Class-IV posts is HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examination passed. Candidates having qualification higher than maximum qualification are not eligible to apply for these vacancy.

Grade-III (Category-I)

Name of Posts: Accountant, Cashier, Junior Assistant, LDA, Stenographer, etc.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration can apply online for these posts.

Grade-III (Category-II)

Name of Posts: Field Assistant, Fieldman, Foreman, Section Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Worker Junior, Agriculture Extension Officer, etc.

No of Posts: 3,690 Posts

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent can apply online for these posts. (For some posts, candidates should be class 12th passed from science stream.)

Grade-III (Category-III)

Name of Post: Driver

No of Posts: 1,120 Posts

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent can apply online for these posts.

Other Details of Assam Direct Recruitment

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have register their name in any one of the employment exchanges of Assam.

Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2022.

Application Fee of Assam Direct Recruitment

Candidates who are eligible and willing to apply online as per official notification, they have to pay application fee to complete their application process. The amount of application fee varies according to the type of post and the category of the candidate. A brief description of the amount of the application fee is given below.

Mode of Payment: The mode of payment of application fee will be online. The applicants of Assam direct recruitment will be able to pay their application fee through online payment gateway. Applicants can pay their fee using Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, Net-banking or Wallet.

How to Apply for Assam Direct Recruitment?

Candidates who will be eligible as per official notification of Assam direct recruitment will be able to submit their online applications through official application portal. Candidates will be able to submit their application for all the eligible posts in one go. There will be a common application portal for the recruitment of all the departments. Candidates can follow the following steps to complete their online application process.

  • Click on Online Application Link.
  • An official web portal will load in a new tab.
  • In that portal, candidates will find Registration form.
  • Open that Registration form, filled all required details.
  • After that you will have to upload your Photograph and Signature in prescribed file format.
  • Now, you will have to pay application fee.
  • After payment of application fee, your application will be submitted.
  • You can print your application acknowledgement for future use.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment

The commission will conduct separate examination to select the candidates for different types of posts. The examinations shall be held separately on different dates as follows so as to enable higher degree holders to appear in more than one examination. More details about the selection process will be updated later in this section.

Bachelor’s Degree Level

The commission will conduct separate examination as per the following eligibility qualifications for the posts.

  1. Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Skill.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
  4. Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
  5. Bachelor’s Degree with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics.

Stage 1 (Written Exam)

Candidates submitting applications for graduate level posts will have to take a written test. The structure of the written examination will be as follows.

Type of Exam: Written Examination

Mode of Exam: Offline

Type of Questions: Objective Multiple Choice Type Questions (MCQs)

Duration of Exam: Three Hours (180 Minutes)

Stage 2 (Skill Test)

The candidates who have submitted the application for the graduate level posts will have to appear in a type of skill test as the second stage of the selection process.

Class 12th Level

The commission will conduct separate examination as per the following eligibility qualifications for the posts.

  1. Higher Secondary of Equivalent Examination Passed.
  2. Higher Secondary of Equivalent Examination Passed with Computer Skill.
  3. Higher Secondary of Equivalent Examination Passed in Science

Stage 1 (Written Exam)

Merit List

On the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination a list of all candidates shall be prepared in order of merit. The commission shall determine minimum qualifying marks for computer test/ other test/ practical test. Candidates securing less than the qualifying marks in the computer test/ other test/ practical test shall not be eligible for selection.
